Unfortunately, it can be difficult to get good coverage when painting wood furniture black which usually uses several coats of new paint. But with this tried and true process, you can finish your project quickly while still getting the best results. It’s so exciting to see an old piece of furniture take on a new life and a new look. Spray back and forth the project, ensuring the lacquer reaches all parts of the furniture surface layer.
Wipe away unabsorbed stain once again going with grain of wood; the longer stain is left on, the darker/deeper stain color. A sanding block or individual piece of sandpaper may be needed to get into little nooks and crannies. Using a drop cloth is helpful in ensuring an easier clean up. This is especially important if you are required to complete this project inside your home or even in a garage. Don't look past laminate just because you aren't crazy about its color.
